Teaching basic knowledge to be able to hold simple conversations "en français". The focus is on grammar: Pronunciation, question formations, pronouns, (indefinite) articles, present and imperative tenses of regular verbs (including reflexive verbs) and the irregular verbs "être, avoir, venir, prendre, aller, dire, savoir, pouvoir, etc.". Prepositions, basic numbers and negations. The following topics are mainly covered when working on word fields: Presentation of the person and getting to know people (names, nationality, profession or degree programs, place of origin, family), hobbies and interests, signposts and time.
