The term "practical relevance" is redefined with the integrated dual degree programs in logistics. In contrast to traditional degree programs, an integrated practical activity in a company corresponding to the field of study takes place from the first day of study. Methodical knowledge in logistics, based on a sound business education, supplemented by social and intercultural skills, forms the focus of the course. The course has been established for over 10 years and is accredited by the Accreditation Council.

Special features of the degree programs are

  • training-integrated: direct application of knowledge in theory and practice, 2 degrees - Bachelor of Arts + vocational training IHK
  • holistic logistics: logistics, business administration, application-oriented IT, international culture & communication, social skills
  • international: semester abroad, practical semester abroad, guest lectures

The additional qualification in the form of commercial training in the logistics or logistics-related field is completed with the IHK examination. Specific preparation for the IHK examination takes place in workshops during the course. Applicants with a suitable IHK degree may receive recognition for the course.

Key data:

  • Duration: 6 semesters incl. optional phase abroad
  • Procedure: every 3 months change between university and company
  • 180 ECTS
  • Start in the winter semester
  • German/English

Content & procedure

Course content

Acting "logistically" - means acting internationally ...

How is the dual Bachelor's degree program structured?

1st year of study: Business management basics and an initial introduction to logistics

2nd year: Specialization in logistically relevant subject areas.

3rd year: International semester (semester abroad or international practical phase) and Bachelor's thesis

What are the advantages of the dual Bachelor's degree program in Logistics?

The content structure of the course combines science and business and thus empiricism and experience.

Methodical knowledge in the field of logistics is not only taught, but directly applied. It is based on a sound business education.

Social and intercultural competence, as well as language skills, are taught and practiced throughout the degree programs.

The course allows students to enter the job market immediately while simultaneously gaining qualifications.

Abroad

The international orientation of the degree programs is promoted on the one hand by the integration of foreign companies, via the semester abroad or the internship abroad, and on the other hand by working on study projects with an international orientation.

A period of study at a foreign university or, alternatively, a practical phase abroad can be completed as a compulsory elective module in the 6th semester.

  • During the practical phase abroad, students should acquire practical knowledge in a selected area of logistics in a commercial enterprise or a business-related organization abroad. In addition to the application of acquired specialist knowledge, the aim is to acquire application-oriented and specialist language skills.
  • If the study abroad program takes place at a partner university of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society, the International Office of the University and the Department of Services & Consulting will assist in the search and selection of suitable foreign universities.
