On 26.10.2022, three degree programs from the "Services and Consulting" Department took part in an excursion to the trade fair for the finance and insurance industry (https://www.die-leitmesse.de/)in Dortmund. The trade fair offered our almost 50 students the opportunity to talk to 276 exhibitors at stands, speakers' corners and seminars and to gain access to the industry's central platform, where global players as well as traditional companies, niche providers and start-ups present their products and services. Our students gained exciting market and industry insights and were able to talk to experts about career and contact opportunities as well as internships and application-oriented theses. Networking between the participating degree programs also worked extremely well, and the first cross-degree project teams have already been formed. Students from the Bachelor's degree program "Business Administration with a focus on Finance", the Bachelor's degree program "Business Taxation and Auditing" and the Master's degree program "Finance & Accounting" took part.
"It was a varied day with a lot of exchange, a lot of information, a lot of communication - and a great opportunity to get first-hand industry trends and insights," says Stefanie Hehn, Head of the Bachelor's degree program "Business Administration with a focus on Finance." "It is really impressive to see the dynamic development of the industry, which offers good entry opportunities for our graduates," adds Gösta Jamin, Head of the Master's degree course in Finance & Accounting.
