Around 1000 guests celebrate the successful graduation of this year's graduates - for the first time on the new campus
On Friday, July 12, 2024, for the first time in many years, the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society's big graduation ceremony took place directly on the university's campus in Ludwigshafen-Mundenheim as the highlight of the academic year. The occasion was the new premises in Building C and the freshly designed outdoor area. And the response was overwhelming: with around 1,000 registered guests, the celebration was the largest event in the history of HWG LU to date. This year's graduates were first celebrated with a fee in five parallel certificate handover ceremonies, which the four Departments and the university's Graduate School Rhine-Neckar (GSRN) organized individually for the newly graduated alumni and their families and friends with great commitment and creative skill. Afterwards, University President Professor Dr. Gunther Piller welcomed the guests at the joint champagne reception and congratulated the graduates on their successful degree: "You have shown willpower, perseverance and performance during your studies and have successfully completed your studies despite the adverse circumstances of the corona pandemic. You and your families can be proud of what you have achieved," said Piller.
Tatjana Kamrad, Chairwoman of the association "Förderer der Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society e.V.", then charmingly encouraged students to stay in touch with the university via the association even after successfully completing their studies: "For the equivalent of an espresso to go each month, you not only collect karma points, but also benefit from a sustainable network yourself," said Kamrad.
Maurice Fuchs, former Chair of the Student Parliament, and Claudio Albano, long-standing Chair of the General Student Committee, then received special awards. Tatjana Kamrad and Gunther Piller thanked both of them for their extraordinary voluntary commitment to student representation.
Following the awarding of certificates and the champagne reception, the graduation ceremony turned into a relaxed summer party with cool drinks, street food, music and dancing. "We are delighted with the premiere, and the weather also supported us in the best possible way," said a delighted President Piller, adding: "It's great to have so much life on campus and the graduation ceremony showed that our new campus is also perfect for celebrating!"
In the 2023/2024 academic year, a total of around 930 graduates - Bachelors, Masters and MBA - successfully completed their degrees at HWG LU.
Congratulations once again!
