On June 26, 2019, 40 kids gathered in the university's PC pool for the last Kinderuni lectures of the summer semester. Together with the lecturer Prof. Dr. Peer Küppers, it was all about programming at a hot 35 degrees.
The topic of the lectures was Do you want to program with Scratch? - Are you ready to start? Then go ahead...
The "programming" is very simple - a graphical plugging together of commands, which you can build up from very simple to really complex. There are many more possibilities - for those who are looking for the challenge.
Using a textbook, which each child was allowed to take a copy of home at the end of the lectures, we got started. It was fun, the lecturer gave a lot of help and after the lectures, some kids "warned" their parents that they absolutely had to get on the computer at home to try out one or two things.
Now it goes into the summer break and we may already draw attention to the family day on September 21, 2019 from 11-15 clock. Let us surprise you!
Until then, we wish you and your families a great summer and see you soon
best regards - your Kinderuni team
