Biopsychological measuring devices and biofeedback:

The university's behavioral science research laboratory is equipped with modern biopsychological measuring instruments to study human behavior and its physiological parameters and to gain detailed insights into cognitive processes and emotional reactions. These parameters include heart rate, skin conductance, blood pressure, respiratory rate and brain activity. Using the devices in the laboratory enables researchers, students and teachers to precisely analyze the interplay of physiological and psychological factors in human behavior and thus gain well-founded insights for applied research and practice. MindMedia's Biotrace+ software can also be used to record and analyze parameters in real time in order to help people better regulate psychophysiological reactions using biofeedback and neurofeedback. Applications range from stress management to the promotion of concentration and performance.

The equipment in the laboratory includes: a Varioport-e EDA, Varioport e-EEG/EKG, a Neurofax EEG-8310G from NIHON KOHDEN Europe GmbH, a Nexus- 10 mkii from Mind Media B.V., a Nexus BVP finger sensor and a nirHEG headband from Biocomp Research Institute USA.
