Midwives care for women and their families from the beginning of pregnancy to the end of breastfeeding. They accompany and support women in this special phase of life, independently conduct physiological births and are responsible for the examination and care of newborns and infants. With their work, they make a significant contribution to the health care of women and their families in both medical and psychosocial areas.

Can I apply to a practice partner first and then to the university?
No, in order to be able to submit a complete application to the practice partner, you need the provisional admission certificate from the university. You will receive this if you apply to the university with the necessary documents during the application period (see above).
