I would like to congratulate the University of Applied Sciences on its 50th anniversary! 2021 is a special year for all universities of applied sciences (HAW) in the state, as the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1971. Over the past 50 years, the UASs have developed into a real model for success and have become an integral part of the Rhineland-Palatinate university landscape.

With currently around 4,600 students, HWG Ludwigshafen may be one of the smaller universities in the state, but it stands out with its unique profile and has made a name for itself. As a university with a strong focus on society and transfer, it is closely interlinked with the city and region and is an important player in the metropolitan area Rhine-Neckar. For the next 50 years, I would therefore like to wish the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society that it can continue to make these special features its strengths.
