For me, the dual degree programs IBAIT at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society are characterized above all by the successful combination of theory and practice. In addition to the basic knowledge in the areas of business administration and IT, we also gain insights into current topics, such as IT security and machine learning, which encourage us to think "outside the box". There are also opportunities for discussions and questions in the lectures. Thanks to the small courses, this contributes to a pleasant and challenging learning atmosphere. As we also have joint lectures with the IBA students, this also promotes cross-course exchange. In particular, applying the theory we have learned in practice with the dual partner and the semester abroad in Shanghai enable us to gain direct experience in a real and international environment.
Natalie Gahre, SAP SE, IBAIT 17

As an IBAIT student, I see the term "internship generation" from a different perspective.  As I can choose from six "internships" in different areas at my company and will also be writing my Bachelor's thesis there, the term is by no means negative for me as an IBAIT student. I'm glad about that, because the aforementioned practical phases in particular bring the keyword "practical relevance" noticeably to life. Content such as that from the lectures "Programming 1 & 2" and "Databases" can be applied in every programming department. In addition, the company training courses anchored in the IBAIT curriculum ensure that new IT trends can be addressed flexibly. What I particularly like about HWG-LU is, on the one hand, the top framework conditions with small courses, short (communication) paths and freshly renovated rooms. On the other hand, I really enjoy the mixed environment of the two BIP degree programs and the different companies. Last but not least: the "soft skills": In many lectures, group work and presentations are an integral part, sometimes even replacing written exams.
Hannes Baum, SAP SE, IBAIT 17

"For me, the IBAIT dual study program is not only characterized by the combination of theory and practice, but also by the relatively small number of students, which makes it possible to grow together into a familiar group. on the company side, this is supported by integration trips, joint workshops and seminars, and on the university side by projects in, for example, statistics or current IT topics. In particular, the cooperation in the programming project "The future of the professions" has shown me: You not only learn with each other, but also from each other. The upcoming time together in Shanghai will certainly also be an unforgettable experience and enrichment!"
Julia Ngo, BASF Business Services, IBAIT 17

In my opinion, what makes the dual study program IBAIT at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society so special is, on the one hand, the practical knowledge that is emphasized during the lectures. On the other hand, the small group size (about thirty in our case) of the degree programs ensures an intimate learning atmosphere during the lectures, in which almost every question can be answered for this reason. In addition, there is the guaranteed semester abroad in Shanghai, which can definitely be seen as one of the highlights of our dual study program. To sum it up, the BIP degree programs at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society offer a unique educational opportunity that at the same time gives a student a refreshingly wide range of options to choose from.
Felix Hackenbruch, SAP SE, IBAIT 18

Through the study program "International Business Administration and Information Technology" I got to know two worlds: the world of business and the world of computer science. I am enthusiastic about the practical phases in the company! During my assignments so far, I have always been able to make a passionate contribution to the success of the team. In the process, I have received constructive feedback for my further development. The subsequent theory phases at the university have helped me to deepen the knowledge I have acquired so far. I'm also really looking forward to the semester abroad in Shanghai. The study program brings together many wonderful experiences and many interesting people. It offers enormous potential for learning and growing from small and big challenges, both in my professional and private life.
Roman Trott, BASF SE, IBAIT 17

"I opted for a dual study program at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society because I am convinced that this program offers the best foundation for achieving my professional goals. At the university, we are offered a good mix of independent work and individual support through small learning groups and numerous projects. Not only the combination of the theoretical content of the course with the practical experience in the company and the training as an industrial clerk, but also the international impressions and experiences that we are able to gain during the course through numerous visiting professors and our internship abroad prepare us excellently for our future professional life."
Charlotte Begon, JT International Germany GmbH, IBA 17

The International Business Administration degree programs offer the perfect combination of theory and practice. The lectures are very international and practice-oriented. The international factor is reinforced by the visiting professors who come to Ludwigshafen from all over the world to teach here. What you have learned can be applied in the practical phases. Another advantage of the dual study program at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society is the pleasant study atmosphere due to the small groups, which quickly develops a sense of togetherness and team spirit. I am particularly looking forward to my stays abroad in the fourth semester, which I will spend in Paris. I would like to use this stay to gain experience in an international business environment and to get to know another country.
Pascal Kettner, EM Technology, IBA 17

With the study, we take another step into a globalized, complex and highly volatile world that presents us with a wealth of challenges and opportunities. In order to successfully seize these opportunities, it is important to have the right tools at hand, which are often associated with the "four C's": Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration - these will be decisive key qualifications in the future, which are impressively taught to us in our IBA studies. In combination with a solid scientific foundation, this forms the important part of the theoretical studies. The special experience of practical reality in the different areas of operation of the partner company helps to break up the nevertheless often dry and rigid theory and to measure it against different, but so far always positive experiences. You gain this experience in an international and varied environment that encourages you to open up your own horizons and expand your comfort zone.
Felix Heinhold, BASF SE, IBA 17

The dual study program "International Business Administration" offers students two major advantages, namely with regard to their professional career and their personality. On the one hand, by combining exciting practical phases with theoretical phases at the university, you can find out whether you enjoy the lecture content in practice and which subject area you would like to specialize in later in your career or, if applicable, in a subsequent Master's degree course. With a Bachelor of Science degree, you can demonstrate practical professional experience from seven practical phases, including one abroad, and face professional life with confidence. On the other hand, students have great opportunities for personal development. The exchange with international colleagues, fellow students and (guest) professors enriches their personal wealth of experience with many views, backgrounds and food for thought. Furthermore, you learn a lot about your strengths and weaknesses in three years and can also find out how to better exploit your personal potential in small learning groups or diverse work teams. If you enjoy working in an individual environment, can combine enthusiasm with a dose of discipline and are interested in other languages and cultures, then the IBA degree program is the right place for you.
Tino Jung, BASF SE, IBA 17

The dual degree programs in International Business Administration (IBA) provide an ideal introduction to professional life and teach the basic skills needed to deal with international business contexts in order to operate successfully in an increasingly networked business environment. The lectures in relatively small groups and the direct support from the professors are ideal for me. The high practical relevance of the course content enables me to apply what I have learned directly in the practical phases in the company. The strongly international orientation of the degree programs is reflected in guest lecturers from all over the world (lectures partly in English), Spanish lessons and the obligatory stays abroad at a group company of the partner company.
Lucas Wippert, BASF SE, IBA 17

For me, the IBA program offers a challenging combination of theoretical fundamentals and direct practical application in the company. You are confronted with current topics that are developed using the most modern methods, such as design thinking. Small working groups allow for good cohesion among the students, as well as close cooperation with the professors. I particularly like the international orientation of the program, which offers insights into diverse cultures and perspectives. This is reinforced by the four-month stay abroad, which is an excellent opportunity that the partner companies offer their dual students. This means that you are not only equipped with an international network for the future, but also with practical knowledge and strong stamina!
Luca Schnabel, BASF SE, IBA 17

The dual IBA degree program at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society offers the decisive advantage for me of gaining a real insight into the working world and structure of a major international corporation. You work in different departments in each practical phase, so you can find out which career path you want to take during the course of your studies. What I particularly appreciate about the theory phases is the practical teaching in small groups, which allows room for questions and discussions. The demands of this time-intensive degree programs are manageable and you learn to optimize your time and self-management. The international focus through lectures by guest lecturers and the integrated stays abroad in the fifth semester also contribute to personal and professional development.
Antonia Müller, BASF SE, IBA 17

"The support of the professors and directors of studies in the BIP program has had a very positive impact on my studies so far. The helpfulness I have experienced so far as well as the small class groups allow for a good learning experience. In addition, the collaboration with the partner company helps with the application of the material learned. It also ensures that students can take advantage of many learning opportunities through the semester abroad."
Hannah Keller, SAP SE, IBAIT 16

"The IBA study program offers a high level of practical relevance, so that you feel optimally prepared for your professional future. International guest professors and the obligatory practical phase abroad broaden the horizon and prepare anticipation for possible further international projects in the future. In addition, the small student groups enable close cooperation with the lecturers, which is certainly an advantage over usual universities."
Jessica Orth, BASF SE, IBA 14

The BIP program combines practical work experience with theory at the university in an excellent way. I particularly liked the international nature of the program. In addition to many international professors from all over the world, I also had the chance to spend 4 months in faraway China and gain intercultural experience.
Tim Kleinbauer, BASF SE, IBA 14

My dual study program IBAIT at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society is the right choice for me. I like the small groups in the lectures, which enable effective learning, including discussions and questions. The professors have a practical orientation and convey the subject matter in a memorable way. In the first semester, the lectures on marketing with a visiting professor from the USA were a highlight for me.
Nikola Braukmüller, SAP SE, IBAIT 16

The concept of the dual "International Business Administration" course at HWG-LU in cooperation with BASF SE places high demands on dual students. At the university, students learn important business, economics and language skills from highly qualified lecturers, some of whom are international. The professional skills can be put into practice directly in a modern, dynamic global corporation. A unique feature of the program is that, in addition to professional skills, personal skills are also promoted and developed primarily by the partner company. The highlight and milestone in the individual development is the stays abroad in a  company of the BASF Group. After completing the Chamber of Industry and Commerce training as an industrial clerk and the Bachelor of Science degree program accredited with 210 ECTS points, which is also highly regarded internationally, all options are open and nothing stands in the way of a successful career.
Christian Scholz, BASF SE, IBA 15

The dual study program "International Business Administration" combines a full Bachelor's degree (B.Sc., 210 ECTS) with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Degree in Industrial Business Administration, six internships in the partner company and a stays abroad organized by the company. The university education is supplemented by high-quality development and support measures provided by the company. The targeted development of methodological and personal skills is a decisive added value for me. The international character of the degree programs is not only reflected in the stays abroad, but also in the numerous lectures given in English by visiting professors from all over the world. Most of the lecturers have many years of practical experience and therefore know how to convey theoretical concepts in a practical context. After six semesters of study, you have significantly more theoretical qualifications and practical experience than conventional students - something that future employers will appreciate!
Jan Mar, BASF SE, IBA 15

The "IBAIT" degree program provides a future-oriented and internationally oriented education. The greatest advantage of this study program is the ability to directly apply the knowledge gained from the theoretical phases in the practical assignments. In addition, the integrated stay abroad in Shanghai offers the unique opportunity to gain new experience in a different cultural environment and to develop oneself further in the process. I also particularly like the support and close cooperation between the university and the company!
Michael Ngo, BASF SE, IBAIT 15

What I find particularly appealing about this degree program are the opportunities that are opened up to every participant in the BIP program.
Thanks to a very good technical education with many additional training opportunities and the practical application of the learned content in the company, this study program forms a good basis for later career goals.
Daniel Venus, BASF SE, IBA 2012

My studies are the perfect combination of theory in university and practical experience on the job.
Personal highlight: Studying and working in Shanghai, China!
IBA & IT creates great opportunities!
Kathrin Pallus, BASF SE, IBAIT 11

Today's world is incredibly fast-moving. Studying on the BIP program provides a solid foundation. After graduating, you are broadly positioned and can enter a wide variety of fields. Whether controlling or HR, in Germany or abroad - anything is possible!
Susan Klingbeil, BASF SE, IBA 2011

The IBAIT program successfully combines business administration with information technology content, as well as practice and theory.
The program promises 6 varied and well-filled semesters, dedicated teaching staff and many advantages over "normal" students through cooperation with partner companies.
And where else can you get a paid semester abroad in China?
Lukas Hackelsberger, BASF SE, IBAIT 11

The manageable group size of 24 students ensures an effective learning atmosphere. What I particularly like about the IBAIT program is the opportunity to apply what I have learned at university directly in the company. The cooperation with the dual partner also makes it possible to get to know different areas of the company and thus find personal preferences for the professional future at an early stage.
Ivo Gosemann, SAP SE, IBAIT 12

In my opinion, the dual study program is an optimal entry into professional life, both directly after graduating from high school and as further training after an already completed vocational training.
Although it is partly more demanding due to the combination of studies and internships, you get an insight into real working life in addition to the theoretical knowledge. At the end, all options are open to you (working in a company or taking up a master's degree).
Positive aspects of the dual study program at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen are the internationality of the lecturers, the integrated stay abroad and the good community within the BIP students.
Andreas Frank, BASF SE, IBA 2012

The BIP program at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society offers everything you can expect when you consciously choose a dual study program. I particularly like the international character of the program, which is a way of life in both the theoretical and practical phases. Professors from abroad, lectures in English and the mandatory internship abroad are just a small part of the many advantages. The Bachelor of Science degree, now accredited with 210 ECTS points, is highly regarded internationally and makes it possible for BIPs to be at home all over the world even after their Bachelor's degree. I would choose the dual study program in cooperation with the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society and BASF SE again at any time, as it gives me numerous opportunities and has opened many doors.
Sven Anders, BASF SE, IBA 11

As the name "International Business Administration" suggests, internationality is one of the most important aspects of the program.
In addition to the 4.5-month stays abroad, you gain experience in the respective company in dealing with colleagues from different countries, as well as at the university, which organizes lectures with visiting professors from all over the world.
This gives you an insight into numerous cultures from different perspectives, which is very interesting in addition to the content presented.
Barbara Auer, BASF SE, IBA 12

The international nature of the IBAIT degree programs is not only reflected in the English-language lectures given by visiting professors from all over the world. We also often work with international colleagues during the practical phases, in which we get to know different areas of the respective company. My personal highlight so far has been my semester abroad (both theory and practice) in China, where I had a lot of experiences that I will never forget for the rest of my life!
Julia Ising, SAP SE, IBAIT 11

The linking of theory and practice is what makes "IBAIT" so appealing to me. You can apply what you have learned at the university directly in the partner company and gain a lot of practical experience.
Maria Stöcker, SAP SE, IBAIT 12
