Diversity certificate
The Diversity Certificate is an extracurricular offer for students of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. The workload comprises 2 ECTS.
The Diversity Certificate offers you the following advantages:
- You have the opportunity to reflect on diversity, diversity management, gender mainstreaming, equal opportunities and inequality in professional and/or social contexts.
- You will learn to recognize your own stereotype attributions and deal openly with differences.
- They acquire key skills in the area of diversity and/or diversity management, which increase their employability in both profit and non-profit organizations.
- You will receive a certificate of acquired diversity competence, which you can attach to job applications.
In the summer semester 2025 , you can again acquire the diversity certificate by completing the e-learning course "Gender and Diversity" . The course is offered in cooperation with TU Ilmenau.

Contents of the course:
- Field of application 'private life': Identity & sexuality, relationships & family, health, sport
- Field of application 'Professional life and public': School & university, professional, media and technical world
- Field of application 'Theory and research fields': Historical & intercultural perspectives, theories & research on gender and diversity
Notes on the e-learning course:
- Registration is possible until March 22 by e-mail to diversity@ 8< SPAM protection, please remove >8 hwg-lu.de.
- The number of participants is limited to 15 per semester.
- On Monday, March 24, 2025, a mandatory introductory event will take place from 19:00 to 20:00. All other lessons can be completed at any time and from any location. After each lesson, you will have to complete a short learning quiz (9 multiple-choice questions). This serves as proof that you have completed the lesson.
- At the end, you must submit a paper (approx. 5 pages) in which you reflect on what you have learned. You will receive further information at the introductory event.
