Prerequisites for online course: The installation of "R" and "Rstudio" is a prerequisite for participation in the R course of the Studium-Generale. R is the program environment that provides the functions for the scripting language. This must be installed first. After this, R is basically ready to use and can be operated via a console or terminal. Command input as the only way to communicate with "R" is very inconvenient. For this reason, several user interfaces were developed for the desktop at an early stage. Rstudio" has emerged as the standard application for "R", which is also used in the course. The desktop version is free and open source. The instructions will be sent to participants by email before the start of the course. | |
