FDM@HAW.rlp
Sustainable and quality-assured competence development for RDM at HAW in Rhineland-Palatinate
The project FDM@HAW.rlp is a joint project of eight universities of applied sciences (HAW) in Rhineland-Palatinate funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Against the background of the increasing importance and quantity of digital research data, it aims to establish uniform standards as well as joint infrastructures and consulting services for the management of research data (RDM) at the HAW. The aim is also to build on existing structures at universities in Rhineland-Palatinate (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, TU Kaiserslautern, University of Trier). In addition, networking with existing regional and supra-regional initiatives on RDM is to be established. By fall 2025, inventory and needs analyses are to be carried out at the participating universities, which will form the basis for the subsequent establishment of sustainable and quality-assured research data infrastructures as well as consulting services for researchers. A further component of the project work is to raise awareness of the topic of RDM among researchers at the UAS and to develop and expand corresponding skills in this area.
Participating universities
In addition to Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, the universities of Mainz, Trier, Kaiserslautern, Ludwigshafen, Bingen, Worms, Koblenz and the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Mainz are participating in the project.
