Contributions of the TI at the conference of the International Confederation for the Advancement Of Behavioral Economics And Economic Psychology (Icabeep) from September 5 to 8, 2010 at the University of Cologne

The University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen was represented by several contributions at this year's conference of the International Confederation for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics and Economic Psychology (ICABEEP) from September 5 to 8 at the University of Cologne. ICABEEP is the leading international scientific organization in the field of behavioral economics or economic psychology. The acceptance of three contributions underlines the research performance of our university in this research area.
Prof. Dr. Gerhard Raab and Dr. Alexander Unger were allowed to report on the following three research projects at our university and their results during the conference:

Raab, G.; Reisch, L. A. & Unger, A.: Compensatory and addictive buying behavior: who actually cares about the economic crisis?

Unger, A. & Goll, A.: Risk-taking and ego depletion - The role of gender and risk proclivity.

Weber, B. & Raab, G.: Compulsive buying: A neurological study of normal and compulsive buyers.

Dr. Reisch, who participated in the first study, is a professor at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark; Ms. Goll from the University of Mannheim participated in the second study; Dr. Weber participated in the third study and is a professor at the University Hospital of the University of Bonn.
The research results presented are the subject of current research projects and the research focus on neuroeconomics and consumer behavior (consumer psychology) at our university.
