Germany Scholarship 2021/2022: 40 scholarships from 19 sponsors

The Deutschlandstipendium, which supports outstanding students with 300 euros per month for a period of one year, has been in existence for 10 years - half financed by the federal government, the other half by private donors. The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society has also been participating in the Germany-wide scholarship program for just as long and is delighted to announce a new record number of scholarships awarded and donors in the 10th anniversary year of the program and the 50th anniversary year of the university: Yesterday, 40 students from the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society received the coveted Deutschlandstipendium in recognition of their outstanding academic and voluntary achievements. Many of the 19 current sponsors were present at the award ceremony in the university auditorium.

This year, 185 students applied for the Deutschlandstipendium. The 40 selected scholarship holders received their scholarship certificates on Wednesday, 13.10.2021, from the hands of University President Prof. Dr. Peter Mudra. The monthly scholarship of 300 euros gives students more financial freedom to concentrate even better on their studies.

In his welcoming address to those present, Mudra paid tribute to the scholarship holders and emphasized how important it is to support people who, despite their social commitments and personal challenges, are committed to their studies. "The Deutschlandstipendium is a very good instrument to further encourage the scholarship holders in their work," said the President.

University President Mudra also expressly thanked the sponsors on behalf of the scholarship holders for their commitment and the financial resources provided: "Without you, the Deutschlandstipendium would be unthinkable. After all, it is you who support the scholarship with 150 euros per month and thus, together with 150 euros from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, provide the total amount of 300 euros," Mudra made clear.

Fortunately, the number of sponsors at HWG LU is constantly growing. This year, 19 sponsors are supporting the students:

  • MLP Finanzberatung SE,
  • Lotto Foundation RLP,
  • Meininger publishing house,
  • Karl Joseph Wagner Foundation,
  • University Council of the HWG LU,
  • Association for the Promotion of Health Economics at the HWG LU,
  • Equality of the HWG LU
  • Association of Friends and Sponsors of Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences
  • HR Consulting GmbH,
  • Sparkasse Vorderpfalz
  • Schloss Wachenheim AG.
  • sebena Naumann e.K.,
  • MOSTER Elektrogroßhandelsgesell. mbH
  • TRANSFORM8 GmbH
  • BASF
  • Diakonissen-Stiftungs Krankenhaus Speyer
  • and three private sponsors.

Following the official part of the event, both the scholarship holders and the sponsors present had the opportunity to exchange ideas in an initial discussion. This was very well received. The recipients were also able to celebrate their Deutschlandstipendium together with family and friends over champagne and delicious snacks.
