It is with great sadness and deep regret that we announce the passing of Prof. Dr. Martin Müller, who passed away gently on December 8, 2024.
Born in 1940, Prof. Müller dedicated his life to education and passing on his knowledge. After studying economics in Heidelberg and Frankfurt, he gained valuable practical experience at Nestlé in Frankfurt, where he worked in IT-related areas.
Since the summer semester of 1978, he has been Professor of Information Systems at our university. For many years, he made a significant impact on the undergraduate and graduate programs through his education in the areas of software engineering, requirements engineering, programming and web programming. After his official retirement in 2005, he continued his teaching activities for two more years as a senior professor in order to continue to actively support the university.
Prof. Müller was appreciated by his students and colleagues alike for his polite, cooperative manner and approachable attitude. He was not only an outstanding scientist, but also a popular and respected mentor.
The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society will keep him in honorable memory. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
