On December 11, Dr. Wolfgang Ritter, Chief Internal Strategy Expert in Corporate Portfolio Management at SAP, gave a practical presentation on portfolio management at Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences. The lecture took place as part of the "Controlling Concepts" course on the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration - Management, Controlling and Information. Prof. Dr. Stefan Rech, who knows Dr. Wolfgang Ritter from their time together at SAP, had invited him.
Dr. Wolfgang Ritter provided students from the MCO and BMC degree programs, among others, with valuable insights into the practice of portfolio management and the management of strategic business units. His presentation focused on questions such as: What methods and tools are used in portfolio management? How do you manage the balancing act between strategic long-term planning and short-term market requirements? And what role do controlling and financial management play in the successful management of business units?
