The "Wagner Family Award" focuses on people as the center of social, economic and societal thought and action. It has become very clear, especially during the Corona period, that ethical and social values are essential building blocks of organizations, companies and society as a whole. In a competitive and numbers-oriented environment, these are ultimately the basis for sustainable success.
The "Wagner Family Sponsorship Award" honors outstanding academic work from all disciplines represented at HWG LU which, based on sound professional knowledge, addresses human, social, economic and/or ecological aspects. Practical discussions are just as welcome as theoretical concept papers.
The three best submitted theses will be awarded the following cash prizes:
1st prize: €1,500
2nd prize: €1,000
3rd prize: €500
Theses from all degree programs at Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society that were completed between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 can be submitted.
Applications for the award can be submitted digitally (by e-mail) by students and university lecturers. The following is required:
(1) a copy of the thesis
(2) a one-page abstract of the thesis
(3) the completed application form
(4) an expert opinion from a university lecturer at the HWG LU.

This year's award will be presented under the auspices of the Department of Social and Health Sciences (FB IV). As always, the jury for the selection of the award winners is made up of one representative from each Department, two student representatives and one person from outside the university.
