From the summer semester 2024, the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG LU) will be offering the practice-integrated program "Master of Business Informatics with a focus on Data Science & Consulting" in cooperation with BASF SE.
Students will have the opportunity to deepen their practical skills in the company in an individually tailored program that is closely aligned with the course of study. As part of their studies at the university, students acquire skills in software development and data engineering/data science as well as business and social skills such as communication and methods for dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. At BASF, students apply the knowledge they have acquired in projects and along the entire life cycle of digital products - from the development of innovative ideas and business cases to implementation, operationalization, service and support of the solutions.
At BASF, students work in a young team on innovative projects involving the digitalization of production and technology. BASF is a leader in this field in the chemical industry. With the help of the students, BASF is further expanding this position and driving the digital transformation forward.
The advantage of HWG LU's practice-integrated Master's programs over conventional dual Master's programs is their greater flexibility: students have a lot of influence on the design of their individual training plan in the company and can organize their time flexibly - without rigid blocks of time. This is particularly beneficial for long-term projects.
The special advantage of the Master's program with BASF: start in the winter and summer semesters, maximum flexibility, attractive remuneration and short distances from the university to the company.
