In the presence of State Secretary Dr. Thomas Griese, the university's Institute for Management and Innovation (IMI) reported on the results of the EFRE funding project "Climate-friendly employee mobility".
In the project, the IMI developed user-oriented solutions for climate-friendly employee mobility in cooperation with the corporate partners BASF, AbbVie, Sparkasse Vorderpfalz and TWL as well as the administration of the Rhine-Palatinate district and the Ludwigshafen city administration. During an informative event at the university with numerous guests from politics, business and administration, current issues were addressed and central results of the project were presented.
After the welcome by the president of the university, Prof. Dr. Peter Mudra, the state secretary in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Environment, Dr. Thomas Griese, explained the current orientation of the climate protection policy of the state and pointed out important fields of action, especially the mobility sector.
Following the State Secretary's remarks, the District Administrator of the Rhine-Palatinate district, Clemens Körner, described the corresponding activities of the district administration and referred to the important impulses from the project.
Afterwards, project manager Philipp Tachkov took stock of the project and described the successful cooperation of the project partners, the manifold publicity measures and the most important results of the project. In particular, the focus was on the findings on user needs based on the extensive employee surveys and the recommendations for action developed on this basis in cooperation with the project partners. Attention was also drawn to the project brochure, which provides all the essential information in a detailed and clear manner and will soon be available on the Institute's homepage.
At the end of the event, the guests exchanged views on future issues of climate-friendly mobility and opportunities for further cooperation over a snack.
The project "Climate-friendly employee mobility" was carried out by the Institute for Management and Innovation (IMI) in the period 10/2017 to 09/2019 and was funded with an amount of 140.000€ by means of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project was further co-financed to 50% by own funds of the project partners AbbVie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, BASF SE, Sparkasse Vorderpfalz, TWL AG, Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, City of Ludwigshafen and University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen.
