Further information on the program expansion:
With the program expansion, unternehmesWert:Mensch will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in overcoming two central challenges in the future: to position themselves in a crisis-proof manner as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and to strengthen women in IT and tech professions. We would like to present both offers in more detail below:
Strengthened through the crisis
The focus of the new "Strengthened through the crisis" programme is on building and strengthening organizational resilience. In other words, companies are to be supported in establishing a resilient and innovative corporate culture in order to cope well and sustainably with the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, but also to be better prepared for further crises. The pandemic has not only accelerated the transformation of the world of work, it is constantly changing it. Companies must and had to react as quickly as possible to the far-reaching changes, such as contact restrictions and the shift to working from home, and develop and implement new concepts for flexible working in terms of time and location. It has been shown that many companies that were already well positioned digitally before the crisis had less difficulty adapting to further changes. Nevertheless, many companies have found themselves in one (or more) crises as a result of the pandemic.
The funded consulting services under the new programme branch support SMEs in improving their crisis management and identifying, helping to shape and establishing the changes in work organization and corporate culture triggered by the coronavirus pandemic. The focus is on the opportunities offered by virtual communication, remote personnel management and home office solutions.
Women in Tech
The new "Women in Tech" program supports companies in the IT and tech sector in attracting women to the industry and retaining them in the long term. The programme is a response to the fact that women are still significantly underrepresented in a key future industry of digitalization and their employment relationships are less stable. This is often due to work culture aspects, stereotypical perceptions and the associated professional barriers.
This is precisely where "Women in Tech" comes in. In the program branch, SMEs are advised on how they can ensure more equal opportunities and set up their HR management in a holistic, diversity-oriented way. This explicitly includes LGBTI*-oriented HR management (LGBTI stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and inter). The aim is to establish a diverse corporate culture - as part of a joint process with the workforce.
The "Strengthened by the crisis" and "Women in Tech" program branches are supported as part of the unternehmensWert:Mensch program of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and funded by the European Union as part of the Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic (REACT-EU).
