Full success: Weincampus Neustadt presents itself prominently at ProWein

From March 19 to 21, 2023, the Weincampus Neustadt presented itself to a broad trade audience for the first time with its own stand at ProWein in Düsseldorf. In terms of internationality, networking and professional expertise, the Weincampus set an important example.

The stand attracted numerous visitors over the three days. There were many consultations about the courses offered by the Weincampus. The part-time format of the English-language MBA degree program "Wine, Sustainability and Sales" was particularly popular with the international specialist audience. In addition, the range of continuing education modules that can be booked individually was also very popular. Prof. Dr. Marc Dressler, head of the MBA degree programs: "We are very pleased about the great interest in the MBA course. ProWein is the international trade fair for the wine trade, which explains the great demand for the business management specialization. The prospective students have both feet firmly on the career ladder and can only imagine studying if it works alongside their job. This is the strength of our program. In addition to face-to-face events, the degree programs also consist of some digital content. In addition, the new offer of individually bookable certificates can also be used - they cover the important business topics, are compressed in terms of time and can therefore be easily integrated into everyday working life."

In addition to trade fair visitors who were previously unaware of the Weincampus, ProWein offered the opportunity to make personal contact with existing cooperation companies and to draw the attention of potential cooperation companies to the Weincampus. The dual Master's degree program in viticulture&Oenology in cooperation with the University of Colmar also met with great interest. Prof. Dr. Dominik Durner on the importance of an international network: "ProWein is an ideal platform for the Weincampus Neustadt to maintain existing contacts, further expand our network and provide important impetus for internationalization. After all, only a large, international network can provide the necessary foundation for our Bachelor's and Master's students to be successful both in their dual studies and later in their careers."

The five sessions in the "Talk & Taste" series provided insights into theory and practice. On the one hand, Lena Singer-Fischer (Sektmanufaktur Groß-Winternheim), Niko Brandner (Griesel Sekt) and Pauline Baumberger-Brand (Weingut Baumberger), all alumni of the Neustadt Wine Campus, talked about the effects of climate change on sparkling wine, natural wines and the associated current trends, challenges and risks. The sessions with Christian Nett (Weingut Bergdolt-Reif& Nett), Klaus Rummel (Bio-Weingut Rummel) and Jochen Schmitt (Weingut Egon Schmitt) addressed topics such as working with fungus-resistant grape varieties and the boom in non-alcoholic and low-alcohol wines. The "Talk & Taste"  sessions turned the trade fair stand into a place for networking that combined theory and practice and met with great interest from visitors.

One of the highlights was a visit from the current German Wine Queen and alumna Katrin Lang. She looked back with enthusiasm on her time at the Weincampus and spoke passionately about her experiences as German Wine Queen.

The renowned Meininger publishing house also honored the commitment of the Weincampus Neustadt at ProWein and at the publisher's sustainability event in the run-up to the event: https://www.meininger.de/wein/events/spitzen-comeback

The Weincampus Neustadt is also prominently represented in the current France Special of Meininger Verlag, in which not only the degree programs are presented, but Prof. Dr. Marc Dressler was also allowed to provide the editorial:
