After relations between the Chinese Ocean University in Qingdao and the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society had to be suspended during the coronavirus phase, the two universities have now confirmed and expanded their continued cooperation with a revised Memorandum of Understanding. At the meeting with the four-person delegation from China on the campus in Ludwigshafen, Prof. Dr. Edith Rüger-Muck, Vice President for International Affairs and Communication, emphasized the importance of the new agreement: "For us, this is not just a renewal of the agreement, but a deepening of our previous cooperation. According to Rüger-Muck, this primarily concerns student exchange in both directions, but also academic and research exchange at departmental level.
Prof. Zhao Xin, President of the Economic School of Ocean University, confirmed this assessment and outlined the various possibilities for exchanges at student level: from short summer schools and exchanges lasting several months to a complete course of study at the partner university. At the Degree, Prof. Ding Lili, Head of Academic Exchange at Ocean University, Prof. He Yiming, Chair of Marketing, and Prof. Jiang Bao, Chair of Logistics, together with Prof. Barbara Darimont and Christine Liew from the East Asia Institute (OAI), discussed very practical issues of further cooperation at working level with Kerstin Gallenstein and Darijo Zivkovic from the university's International Office.
