Staff Council
Welcome to the homepage of the Staff Council of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society
At our university, the Staff Council consists of a total of nine representatives from the group of salaried employees and academic employees. It meets regularly to discuss problems and proposals submitted and to pass appropriate resolutions. Its work is based on the Rhineland-Palatinate State Staff Representation Act.
Employees are involved in internal decisions within the department via the Staff Council. This is particularly important as the department and the employees pursue different interests in some areas, which often conflict with each other. The Staff Council must therefore ensure that all protective regulations applicable to employees are complied with. It is the spokesperson for all employees, mediator, helper, co-decision-maker, sometimes controller and point of contact for all official matters. The members of the Staff Council are obliged to maintain confidentiality in the performance of their duties.
We see it as our task to communicate conflicting interests to employees and to inform them about issues and developments at the university that affect them. Our aim is to involve employees in the work of the Staff Council as much as possible . Because it is important to us to have the employees behind us in our Staff Council activities. Only if we act in the interests of the employees and with their support, can we make our commitment meaningful for them.
The Staff Council is part and representative of all employees and is newly elected by the employees every four years .
We are happy to answer any questions and suggestions you may have and look forward to hearing from you.
