Simulate everyday logistics at HWG LU: Practical and future-oriented
The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society offers an outstanding logistics degree program, which can be studied in a Bachelor's and a Master's program as well as in part-time and dual degree programs. The focus is on practice-oriented teaching methods and close networking with the logistics industry.
In the Master's degree course in Logistics students also experience practical role plays in English, for example in the lectures "Tender Management and Outsourcing" and "Top Management Consulting Pitch". In simulated stress situations, they take on the roles of management consultants and logistics service providers, for example, and negotiate real business scenarios such as the procurement of transport, logistics and supply chain services with industry in English. Such simulations promote the ability to act under pressure and make complex, strategic decisions - skills that are essential in the day-to-day business of transportation, logistics, consulting and supply chain services on the part of industry, trade and logistics service providers alike.
Professor Dr. Stefan Iskanwho has been educating students at HWG LU for over ten years, places particular emphasis on challenge-based learning and project-based learning. He focuses on the automotive supply chain, tender management and the digital transformation of logistics. He regularly brings experts from industry to his courses in order to give students a direct insight into the challenges and opportunities of various industries and at the same time to enable direct networking between students and managers during their studies.
Research in the fields of transportation, logistics and supply chain services is another key aspect of the course. In addition to practical education, a number of professors at HWG LU are driving innovative projects that deal with sustainable city logistics, alternative drive technologies in vehicle fleets and transport network planning, among other things.
