Practical phase in the 7th semester

The practical phase starts and ends with one block course each, which are compulsory. Attendance at the internship seminar is mandatory before the start of the practical phase (at the latest in the 5th semester). At the end of the practical phase (usually in the 7th semester), the presentations take place in another block course. Attendance is also compulsory here. The aim of the block courses is to promote the students' professional, methodological and social skills.

The internship must be completed in a suitable company in Germany or abroad and be sufficiently related to the degree program. The minimum duration is twelve weeks. Large and medium-sized companies can be considered as training companies.

In order to be admitted to the practical phase, you should have successfully completed the modules from the first five semesters (during the corona pandemic from the first four semesters).

A prerequisite for the award of credits is the submission of a 15-page practical report in accordance with the Department's guidelines for academic work, a certificate of activity/certificate and the presentation of the practical phase.
