It was a special pleasure and honor for us to welcome the graduates of the class of 1973 at this year's graduation ceremony on July 14. Twenty gentlemen took advantage of the festive ambience of the Pfalzbau in Ludwigshafen to celebrate their own graduation from HWG LU - at that time still the University of Applied Sciences of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, Ludwigshafen Department - 50 years ago.
University President Prof. Dr. Gunther Piller did not miss the opportunity to present a certificate to the graduates of that time - it was an all-male cohort - and to congratulate them.
A special highlight was a double graduation ceremony: A graduate of the class of 1973 was able to celebrate together with his son, who belongs to our current graduating class.
A reunion with the agile class of 1973, which still experienced the move to Ernst-Boehe-Strasse, is already being planned: When the new building is inaugurated, the business administration graduates want to return to the old study site.
