At a university, a variety of processes take place on a daily basis, often in parallel. Handouts, samples and templates are intended to facilitate processes and ensure the application of common quality standards. Important processes in the context of quality assurance and development are documented, regularly reflected upon and adapted.

The various advisory and support services are also particularly relevant in this phase (see illustration below). In addition to an adequate initial qualification, the provision of suitable development opportunities is an important aspect for the individual (further) qualification of the groups of people involved and takes place through a wide range of offers from the field of personnel development and university didactics.

In addition to personnel policy aspects, the "climate" plays an important role in the interaction between staff, lecturers and students. Shared values and norms as well as patterns of thought and behavior enable a pleasant working, teaching and learning atmosphere and goal-oriented joint action. The considerations made during the planning phase play a decisive and formative role here.
