Statements about our new building
Tatjana Kamrad, Association of Sponsors of HWG LU e.V. / Sparkasse Vorderpfalz
I was able to experience the new campus for the first time at this year's graduation ceremony. And the word 'experience' is used deliberately at this point: The vibrancy and positive energy provided an ideal setting for the graduation ceremony, inviting exchange and togetherness. I hope that all students and lecturers can experience this atmosphere every day. And not entirely altruistically, I am delighted that the Friends' Association can make its contribution to this new 'spirit' with the donation for the newly designed creative space.
Tatjana Kamrad, 1st Chairwoman of the Association of Sponsors of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society andHead of Human Resources Development / Training Sparkasse Vorderpfalz

"IT WILL...
and it became. The campus that has now opened is the result of many joint efforts, setbacks, new ideas and the confidence that we have created something really good. I wish the teachers and students in this creative, inspiring environment the joy of innovative learning, intensive research, beautiful commonalities and conspiratorial exchange. The best foundations have been laid for a successful step into the next phase of life.
Reliable, innovative, forward-looking, collaborative - this is how I know and appreciate working at and with the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. It is a good way
... I KNOW"

Peter Johann, Metropolitan area Rhine-Neckar GmbH
Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences is proving to be a key player in the Rhine-Neckar region in creating synergies between business, science and politics. The new construction of Building C underlines this claim: A modern campus is being created that offers space for interdisciplinary collaboration and will become a place for education and innovation. This infrastructure supports collaboration, promotes the exchange of knowledge and strengthens the region's competitiveness.
Peter Johann, Managing Director metropolitan area Rhine-Neckar GmbH
Alumnus Andreas Gietl, BASF SE
As a former graduate of Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, I look back on my time on campus with great gratitude and appreciation. The years I spent there not only gave me valuable knowledge, but also provided me with formative experiences and valuable relationships.
The opening of the new Building C marks an exciting milestone for the university. The building is not only architecturally appealing, but for me it symbolizes the constant progress and ongoing development of Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences. The lettering "ES WIRD" on the roof of the new building immediately caught my eye on my first visit. "ES WIRD" is a promise for an exciting future made possible by education, research and innovation. It reflects optimism, progress and dynamism. Above all, this lettering reminds us that there is always room for growth and improvement and that the future holds something good in store for us.
Opposite the new library is the counterpart "I KNOW". For me, this lettering is a statement of trust. It stands for the knowledge that is gained at this university and for the skills that students acquire here. The lettering symbolizes confidence in the impact and value of a good education.
With the completion of the new building, Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences has not only grown physically, but also in terms of its importance and influence. It is a place of learning, research and exchange that now offers even more opportunities for students, education and staff. The new building opens up opportunities for innovative projects, interdisciplinary collaboration and even closer networking with industry and other educational institutions. I would particularly like to contribute to this in my role as part of the University Council.
As part of the HWG LU community, I am proud to witness the development and growth of the university. I look forward to seeing how the university develops and realizes its vision of excellent education and research. Because "I KNOW" that "IT WILL" and that the future of Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences is promising."

This offers us a wonderful opportunity to revitalize campus life and create a lively, attractive atmosphere that strengthens togetherness."

Hans-Uwe Daumann, City Councillor Ludwigshafen
With its independent profile, the HWG LU is visible in the city and an attractive part of the university landscape in the metropolitan region. The new building not only gives the university a campus character, but also lends architectural expression to its self-image. "It will be": Ludwigshafen is a city of hope; perseverance and persistence are key skills here. The new building is a success, congratulations!

Prof. Dr. Klaus Blettner, HWG LU
As Dean of the Marketing and Human Resources Management Department, I would like to congratulate us all on the new building on the campus in Mundenheim. The new C-building is a valuable contribution to the campus feeling and strengthens our positioning as a modern, face-to-face university. The attempt a few years ago to position the university in the city center would also have offered a WIN-WIN solution for everyone involved and was the preferred option for large sections of the city's society. However, although the project failed due to the state government, it had a catalytic effect on the new building in Mundenheim, which finally went ahead as a result. True to the motto 'Better a bird in the hand than a pigeon on the roof', I am delighted with our new building and look forward to a vibrant campus with all our Departments and almost all institutes in one place.
Prof. Dr. Klaus Blettner, Dean of the Department of Marketing and Human Resource Management
Dr. Tibor Müller, IHK Palatinate
Germany, the metropolitan region and Ludwigshafen are going through difficult economic times. Many of our companies now have to revise and adapt their business models. The drivers of this development are innovations, most of which have their sources in the universities. With its new campus, HWG LU has created another beacon full of ideas, ingenuity and creativity that radiates far into the economy and also spreads confidence there: It will!
Christoph Keimes, LUKOM
As a central player in the city, Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences has made a significant contribution to urban development and was a pioneer of city marketing. It is dedicated to the workplace of the future and trains highly qualified specialists who contribute to economic development. In September, the university proudly inaugurates its new campus building. This facility will promote the training of future managers and strengthen Ludwigshafen as a location for innovation. We at LUKOM are proud to be a partner of the university, supporting its positive development and promoting the attractiveness of our city.
Christoph Keimes, Managing Director of LUKOM Ludwigshafener Kongress- und Marketing-Gesellschaft mbH
Prof. Dr. Petra Weber-Dressler, HWG LU
The new building is really very successful! The classrooms are bright and modern, the library is exceptional and the campus now invites you to linger. In Department I, we really enjoy the new offices, the short distances and the collegial atmosphere. All our expertise is now united on one floor! The attractiveness of the campus is certainly a big plus for attracting motivated students, new professors and committed employees to the university in the future.
Prof. Dr. Petra Weber-Dressler, Dean of the Department of Management, Controlling, HealthCare
Marion Schneid, State Parliament RLP
The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society has continued to develop very positively since its beginnings - more students, more degree programs, many interesting opportunities for education/further education. This makes it all the more important to have good facilities. I am delighted that this long-awaited and urgently needed new building at HWG LU has finally been completed, creating a campus that allows students to study successfully in a pleasant atmosphere!
Marion Schneid, Member of the RLP State Parliament
Jürgen Vogel, IHK Palatinate
Business and science are communicating tubes. Our companies are successful if they can build on strong science locations and qualify the specialists of tomorrow. In this way, we can hold our own in national and international competition and maintain and expand our position as a leading region in Europe. The new HWG LU campus provides the perfect setting for this. The new campus makes you want to study in the center of the metropolitan area Rhine-Neckar.
Jürgen Vogel, Managing Director IHK Palatinate

The horizon in which we live
Education is not an accumulation of knowledge. Education is the expansion of horizons. This is what distinguishes us from machines. We stride along our horizon and yet never reach it. And so we continue to educate ourselves. We educate ourselves - in our brains and in our hearts. A new building sets milestones on this path. So it's time to celebrate. A new campus sets a new horizon that will be filled with life, passion and love for education. Congratulations on this! And here's to new horizons!
Dr. Paul Metzger, Dean, Protestant Deanery Ludwigshafen
Lavan Sabir, Joblinge
My focus is on targeted support and inspiring opportunities. My goal on the Board of Trustees and at the non-profit JOBLINGE Aktiengesellschaft, which I manage, is to overcome differences and create strong networks. The new HWG LU building project is more than just concrete and glass. It symbolizes these values. This is where we are building the future. Brick by brick. Hand in hand.
Lavan Sabir, Joblinge
Prof. Dr. Birgit Angermayer, HWG LU
After a long wait for the new building, we were delighted to see it completed and have now spent the first semester in the new building with great enthusiasm. The resulting campus atmosphere with the integration of all four Departments has created a great spirit of optimism and invites a new dimension of academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. The art on the building - the inscription "It will" - is a symbol of our future-oriented focus and the constant striving for professional excellence and innovative strength.
Prof. Dr. Birgit Angermayer, Dean of the Departments of Services & Consulting
Martina Stamm, BKK Pfalz
Good things come to those who wait.
I have been an active member of the university's Board of Trustees since 2012 - and not a single meeting has gone by without the lack of space and then the planned new building being discussed. I am therefore delighted that HWG can now finally show the outside world how important it is for the city and the region, for the economy and society. As an employee of a health insurance company, I am of course also happy that the working and study conditions are improving and that the students will have free space for creative work! Congratulations on the new building, HWG!
Martina Stamm, BKK Pfalz
Michael Hanf, Managing Director TZL
The university and the TZL have been linked for many years, and not just because of their close proximity. Students and graduates of the university use the advice, network, services, rooms and infrastructure of the TZL to develop and implement their technology-oriented start-up ideas. The university's start-up office and the new building can make an important contribution to accelerating innovation projects in the future through the transfer of knowledge between the university and the start-up scene. The START Rhine-Neckar event, which will take place in the new building on October 10, 2024, will send a clear signal in this regard.
Michael Hanf, Managing Director TZL

State-of-the-art university catering on a lively campus!
With the construction of our new canteen and cafeteria, the university is getting its first self-cooking canteen. A milestone in the positive development of the site and a promise for the future: we look forward to more guests, a fuller campus and completely new ways of preparing food. And our LUfanten daycare center will also remain a reliable partner for the care of university children.
See you soon in the canteen!
Andreas Schülke - Managing Director Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz
