This past weekend, HWG LU had the pleasure of participating in an exciting church boat regatta. It was a great experience that offered not only sporting challenges but also a strong sense of community and cohesion.
As soon as they arrived at the venue, the team felt the warm atmosphere and the positive energy that spread among the participants*. People from different institutions, organizations and clubs had come to participate together in this regatta. There were 31 teams at the start.
Before the actual event, the HWG LU team got into the church boat for the first time during a training session. It was obvious that this boat was made for teamwork and cooperation. Everyone had their role and task, whether it was rowing or keeping a rhythmic pace. During the race, we felt the support of the other participants* and the spectators* along the course. Cheers and applause motivated us. Great thanks are due to the members of the university who came to support us.
The team was able to finish the race with a successful finish. It was not only about the victory or the placement, but about the fact that we had achieved something together as a team.
