The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG LU) has been audited as a family-friendly university since 2002. Now, with the establishment of the FamilyService, the university's Equal Opportunities Office offers all services and support for balancing family, studies and work from a single source.
Since February 2020, the Family Service has been coordinating and networking family-friendly offers for employees, education staff and students. Since the end of 2019, this has also included the possibility of implementing individual childcare services - funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research's Female Professors Program III.
The following services are also available:
- Advice for pregnant students
- Registration of employees' requirements for the LUfanten daycare center
- Parent-child room
- Support with caring for relatives
- E-learning module: Reconciling work and family life as part of a life-phase-oriented HR policy
Family-friendly university audit
The HWG LU sees a family-conscious approach to its employees and students as an integral part of its organization. The fundamental intention is to achieve a balance between the interests of the university and the interests of employees and students.
