Ludwigshafen graduate Martina Mühlbauer has completed her doctorate in economics and social sciences (Dr. rer. pol.) as part of a cooperative doctoral procedure. Her successful defense took place at the end of November 2021 in presence with the participation of the supervising professor of the HWG LU.
Martina Mühlbauer completed her consecutive business studies with a Master of Arts degree in Controlling in Department I of the HWG and then worked for many years as a research assistant in Department II Marketing and Human Resources Management under Prof. Dr. Thomas A. Martin in the Departments of Finance and Accounting and Human Resources Management. At the HWG LU, she also worked for many years as a lecturer in business administration, in particular accounting (annual financial statements) and cost accounting. The dissertation dealt with the topic: "Harmonization of accounting in the European Union through the EU Accounting Directive - Exercise of Member State options and effects on the success of harmonization". The doctorate was completed with the grade summa cum laude.
Dr. Martina Mühlbauer has since left the academic sector and will now put her academic skills into practice. The HWG LU would like to congratulate its successful doctoral graduate and long-standing research assistant and wishes her all the best for her personal, professional and academic future.
