Practical education in the part-time distance learning program Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting (MBA)

Professor Dr. Stefanie Hehn-Ginsbach and Professor Dr. Gösta Jamin jointly lead the distance learning course at GSRN with up-to-date practical expertise

Companies in all sectors that want to successfully meet the challenges of the world of work 4.0 are dependent on well-trained specialists and managers. The distance learning course Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting (MBA), which is aimed at professionals from all sectors and fields of study who wish to gain further qualifications, provides the necessary 'future skills'. You will acquire specialist knowledge in the areas of finance, strategy, accounting and consulting as well as cross-functional management and coaching skills.

Those interested in distance learning who opt for the part-time distance learning course at the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar (GSRN), an institution of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG), benefit from two course directors who are active in business companies in addition to their education. As balance sheet analysts, they recently published a specialist article in the industry-relevant private banking magazine about the business development of Berenberg Privatbank. Professor Stefanie Hehn-Ginsbach teaches general business administration at HWG, in particular corporate finance & capital market theory. She worked at Deutsche Bank from 2005 to 2018, where she held several management positions in Germany and abroad. She advises private and public companies on financial issues. Gösta Jamin is a professor of finance and banking at the HWG. He also supports and advises banks, fintechs and other financial service providers on digital transformation projects.

Both course directors have both academic and practical expertise, which benefits students on the MBA distance learning course in Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting. Since the summer semester 2021, they have been running the part-time distance learning degree program together with enthusiasm: "I find the MBA Digital Finance, Strategy & Accounting super exciting. At the cutting edge, it covers the current trends that can trigger a transformation in business models, products, financial functions and corporate strategy, especially through digitalization and automation. Accordingly, I was immediately enthusiastic about being involved in the management of the course and also as a lecturer," says Hehn-Ginsbach. Jamin is also positive: "I really enjoy working in continuing education. Ultimately, continuing education is a two-way exchange: On the one hand, we as lecturers impart our academic concepts and professional experience. On the other hand, we also get a lot of impulses from our students from business practice, which we can use to further develop our education, research and transfer content."
