We bid a sad farewell to Visiting Professor William L. Murray from San Francisco, who passed away on September 10, 2022 at the age of 82.
Prof. William L. Murray was the first visiting lecturer at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. From 1978 until his retirement as a full professor, he worked at the University of San Francisco in the USA. He also worked as an independent consultant in the fields of corporate planning and financial strategy.
From 1997, he taught the lectures on finance in the diploma program "International Business Administration in Practice", later in the program "International Business Administration" (IBA) and in the program "International Business Administration and Information Technology" (IBAIT).
For several years, he also took over the lectures on finance for the MBA program of the Transatlantic Institute in cooperation with the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
In 2015, Prof. William L. Murray was awarded the University Medal of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society at a festive ceremony. He worked for the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society for a total of 17 years.
The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society will remember his name and his work, and above all his pioneering spirit in terms of internationality and cosmopolitanism, with great appreciation and honor.
