Ms. Beermann's German course did a bread tasting as part of the lesson on food - after all, there are so many types of bread to discover in Germany.
The international students were surprised by the variety; they enthusiastically tasted everything from rye bread to country bread, grain bread with grated carrots and pumpernickel cheese cubes.
And vocabulary relating to the topic of supper was learned all by itself.
