Honor to whom honor is due: Tolga Mustafa receives the DAAD Prize 2021
Tolga Mustafa, an international student in the master's program in Finance and Accounting, received the 1,000 euro prize of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for his outstanding academic achievements as well as his above-average volunteer and university commitment. The young Bulgarian, who has been learning German since the 8th grade, has already successfully completed his bachelor's degree at HWG LU and is currently writing his master's thesis on the highly topical subject of "credit transactions with cryptocurrencies". In addition to his very good academic performance, Tolga Mustafa has been involved with the university's International Affairs department since his start in Ludwigshafen: "Whether as a buddy for other international students, a mentor, or simply as a roommate and friend in our international shared apartments - Tolga is always motivated, competent, helpful, and always ready to talk. It is no coincidence that he was nominated for the award by fellow students," enthuses Kerstin Gallenstein, Head of the International Office, in her laudation.
The award ceremony, organized by the International Office, took place on December 2 in a very small circle due to Corona and was streamed live. The ceremony was hosted by Kerstin Gallenstein.
Congratulations!
Award of the DAAD Prize 2020
The DAAD Prize - the German Academic Exchange Service prize for foreign students is awarded once a year and is endowed with € 1000. - Cash auditor in the finance committee of the student parliament
In addition to her studies and voluntary work, she also worked as a student assistant on the university's Executive Board and in the BIS degree programs
Ms. Fedko was nominated for the DAAD prize by her fellow students: "I don't know anyone who is as committed as Svitlana Fedko, not only because she is always among the best, if not the best, with her achievements, but also because she has supported us fellow students since the first semester."
