Special promotions
Erasmus+ aims to promote equal opportunities and inclusion, for this reason access to the program is facilitated for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds (this applies in Germany in the Erasmus+ program to single parents during study abroad) and with special needs.
- Inclusion and diversity
The new program aims to increase the qualitative impact of its measures and ensure equal opportunities. To this end, the program targets people of different ages and cultural, social and economic backgrounds. The focus will be on disadvantaged people, including people with disabilities, educational difficulties or migrant backgrounds, as well as people living in rural and remote areas.

- Green Erasmus+
In line with the European Green Deal, the program will lead by example by encouraging participants to use lower carbon transport as an alternative to flying. Erasmus funding will also go towards building knowledge and understanding of sustainability and climate action so that Europeans acquire the world-leading skills needed to create sustainable societies, lifestyles and economies.
- Special funding for students with children as a lump sum (SMS only)
Students who take their child/children with them to study in an Erasmus+ Programme Country can apply for special funding.
