The computer rooms can be used by any student of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society, as long as they are not occupied for lectures during this period. The occupancy of the computer room can be found on the notice board in the room and the occupancy plans are also available online.
All PCs are equipped with Windows operating systems and the software required for education.
Users have restricted menus and access rights.
To log on to the PCs, a user name (account) and password are required in the CAMPUS computer domain. This will be created for you shortly after enrolment. You can find more information here.
Guidelines for use
Everyone working in the computer rooms undertakes to comply with the user regulations and accepts them without restriction!
- The computer rooms are freely accessible during the opening hours of the computer center, unless a notice on the door indicates otherwise. Workstations must be released in good time during events.
- To log on to a PC, use the login name and a personal password. The login name and password may not be passed on. The university is not liable for damages resulting from the deliberate or negligent disclosure of the user ID; on the contrary, the user may be held liable.
- The session on the PC must be terminated properly, i.e. Windows must always be shut down, the PC and monitor switched off and the workstation left clean.
- The copyright and license rights of the software used must be observed. Modifying, downloading or deleting programs and data as well as installing your own software is strictly prohibited.
- Backing up personal data and scanning it for viruses is the responsibility of the user.
- Food and drink as well as smoking are prohibited at the PC workstations. It is not permitted to take drinks bottles, cups, mugs or the like into the pools!
- Cell phones must be switched off as they can lead to PC malfunctions.
- Do not place any items of clothing, bags, rucksacks or suitcases on the tables or equipment. Sitting on the tables is prohibited in order to avoid vibrations.
- The chairs are not intended for storing clothes and bags; they must be placed on the clothes racks provided for this purpose. Bags and suitcases must not block the paths between the rows of tables.
- Printouts from the workstation can be made using the ASTA network printer. The saved printouts can be collected there for a fee during opening hours.
- If the devices in the PC pools display an error message or other damage occurs, please inform the computer center staff or write a message via the computer center's error message page (see icon on desktop).
- In any case, do not attempt to repair the hardware yourself and do not replace any connected components!
- Serious violations or non-compliance with the user regulations will lead to blocking or exclusion as a user of the PC pools, theft will be reported!
These user regulations are a concretization of the previous regulations and come into force upon publication.
