KNOWLEDGE

The IPO program has been accredited by AQAS since 2005 and reaccredited until 2027.

"The basic education in economics is part of the tools of the trade of a good HR professional."

Mathematical and statistical methods are equally important basics for analyzing and interpreting business issues. For those who need a refresher in this area, we offer a pre-course in mathematics.

Lectures can be held in both English and German.
In addition, guest lecturers from partner universities will hold events and lectures in English.

Students who wish to spend a semester abroad in the 5th semester also need to have B2 level English.

Writing and defending the final thesis in English in the 6th semester is also possible and very welcome.

The semester abroad takes place in the 5th semester.
Semester abroad at a foreign university
HWG Ludwigshafen has well over 80 partner universities worldwide. Students are of course also allowed to choose their own university with which we do not have a partnership.
Students must complete 30 ECTS at the foreign university or college. The duration depends on the semester times of the respective university.
Practical semester abroad
As an alternative to the semester abroad at a university, students can also take a practical semester (practical study semester) in a company. In the practical study semester, students should acquire practical knowledge in as many areas as possible of a business enterprise or a business-related institution in Germany or abroad that are relevant to human resources management. The aim is to impart knowledge of the economic and organizational interrelationships of the company. The duration of the practical semester is 20 weeks.

Group size is approximately 30 to 90 students, depending on the module and semester.

The Bachelor IPO is a contact study program. This means that it is a full-time course. It only makes sense to work as part of a normal student job (e.g. as a working student and during lecture-free periods).
