Code of Conduct training

As part of the induction week, the "Code of Conduct Training " took place on Friday, 22.09.23 for all newly enrolled students of the Marketing, IPO and Business Psychology degree programs in Department II. The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Klaus Blettner, Prof. Dr. Lan Cao, Prof. Dr. Claudia Kohl, Anja Hausmann and Regina Hamacher.

In the form of a "World Café" (workshop method), the students went through 4 stations where the following questions had to be answered:

  1. What do you expect from your fellow students and your interactions with each other?
  2. What do you expect from your lecturers and the way you interact with each other?
  3. What do you expect from your university and the administration?
  4. What do you expect from yourself? Where do you want to be at the end of your studies? How do you want to contribute to your studies and to the HWG?

The participants enjoyed lively discussions, which resulted in full walls. After internal group syntheses, the moderators presented key aspects from their areas.

As a very personal conclusion to this event, the moderator Prof. Cao offered the students a special surprise: The participants* had the opportunity to write a letter to themselves with their own most important aspects and hand it in to Department II afterwards. These letters will be kept sealed and sent to the students by post in exactly 3 years, on 22.09.2026.

We would like to thank all participants for the lively event and are delighted with the positive feedback.
