As all lectures in the 50 PLUS lecture series and Studium Generale had to be canceled due to the coronavirus, we were able to offer an alternative at the university: A virtual lecture. This type of lecture has been and is currently being implemented for our students to ensure that education is covered professionally.
And we want to show it: The university is alive! Despite corona! Just a little differently than we are used to.
On 2 July 2020, Prof. Dr. Stefan Lacher from the Management, Controlling, HealthCare Department hosted an online discussion entitled "Success factors in the digital transformation of organizations as socio-economic systems".
Videos on the above-mentioned topic were made available to all interested parties in advance - which could be used to prepare for the online discussion.
Then it could start on July 2 - and the feedback from all participants was extremely positive. Prof. Lacher knew how to "take along" even those guests who do not use digital media on a daily basis. Using a digital survey, everyone was able to get involved.
Our attempt to win over external guests for an online event worked and will be offered as a further option in the event series. Nevertheless, we all look forward to welcoming you again in person as guests of the event series at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society.
