Profile
The healthcare sector is one of the growth markets of the future. At the same time, it is not a homogeneous branch of industry, but a sector that extends from the core area of outpatient and inpatient healthcare to health insurance providers and the industrial healthcare industry (including the pharmaceutical and medical technology sector, e-health) through to wellness services. The "Health Sciences - Health Care Management" degree program focuses on the core area of "Medical Care", taking into account the developments arising from the other sub-areas.
With this Master's degree, a program has been designed that is research-oriented and takes an interdisciplinary approach to questions of managing medical care. Our guiding principle is to address the structural changes within the healthcare sector and to train you as specialists in the management of medical care.
The research-oriented profile of the degree programs focuses primarily on the areas of health economic evaluation, health services research and network management. Other components such as leadership in healthcare organization or legal implications set application-oriented accents. Methodological skills are also given a broad scope. Education staff, who have their own active research and practical experience, support students in project, seminar and final theses.
The aim of the degree programs is to qualify people for the design, evaluation and control of care services and care processes in the healthcare sector and the management of care providers. Target positions can be found at specialist and management level, in particular with service providers, health insurance providers, management companies, scientific institutions, associations, administrations, the industrial healthcare sector (especially pharmaceuticals, medical technology, e-health) and consulting companies.
