On June 14, the 4th semester students had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Aylin Lampe to the university for a guest lecture in Prof. Dr. Stephan Weinert's course. Ms. Lampe herself was a student at Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences and worked at the Institute for Employment and Employability before successfully working in the field of diversity management - initially at John Deere, currently at SAP, but currently on parental leave.
Ms. Lampe opened her presentation with a general overview and components of diversity management and referred to the various interfaces with related areas such as talent acquisition, employer branding, learning & development and HR business partners, to name but a few.
She reported that data should be recorded and analyzed at the beginning as a prerequisite for successful diversity management. In addition, the company's needs should be identified and suitable measures developed. She illustrated her diversity philosophy with two vivid practical examples. SAP in particular can be seen as a pioneer in diversity management. The company stands for equal opportunities and flexibility like no other. It is therefore not surprising that SAP was named the best employer for women by Brigitte magazine, among others.
Ms. Lampe gave the students an in-depth insight into diversity management. We would like to thank Ms. Lampe very much for her time and the exciting presentation!
