Once again this year, students from the Human Resources study area were awarded the Deutschlandstipendium: Ms. Vivienne Hesser and Mr. Oliver Lorenz. Ms Hesser is a student of the Bachelor's degree program B.Sc. International Personnel Management and Organization IPO in the 1st semester. Mr. Lorenz moved from Regensburg to Ludwigshafen for this semester and is studying in the Master's degree program M.Sc. International Human Resources Management.
During an academic ceremony on November 21, the President of the university, Prof. Dr. Peter Mudra, awarded a total of 14 scholarships to students at the university. Among them were students from the Neustadt/Weinstrasse viticulture campus of HWG Ludwigshafen. The scholarship holders were selected from a field of 106 applicants according to criteria of academic performance, social/diversity and social/university commitment. The Deutschlandstipendium is only awarded once a year.
The Germany Scholarships are a joint financial support measure of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science and private sponsors. The number of possible scholarships per university is limited in order to emphasize the special selection character. The private sponsor of the two HR students is HR-Consulting GmbH for the duration of at least two semesters.
The President of the university presented the scholarship holders with a joint certificate from the Federal Ministry of Education and the university as well as a surprise bag in the presence and participation of sponsors.
The Department of Human Resource Management was represented by the head of the degree program at the award ceremony for its HR students and personally congratulated the new scholarship holders from IPO and IHRM from the entire "HR Department". In a short speech, both scholarship holders expressed their gratitude for the award and explained how the scholarship helps them to better manage the balance between studying on the one hand and working on the other.
The HR department motivates talented students from IPO and IHRM to actively and confidently apply for scholarships such as the D-Scholarship or the scholarships of the major organizations for the promotion of gifted students (e.g. Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung).
